Reshape and Support A New Breast Contour

A breast lift, also known as mastopexy, raises the breasts by removing excess skin and tightening the surrounding tissue to reshape and support the new breast contour. A breast lift can rejuvenate your figure with a breast profile that is more youthful and uplifted. A woman’s breasts often change over time, losing their youthful shape and firmness. A breast lift can help restore changes and loss of skin elasticity from pregnancy, breastfeeding, weight fluctuations, aging, gravity, and heredity.

Downtime

You can expect 7-10 days of downtime.

Recovery

You will be placed in a supportive non-underwire bra, to be worn for the first 4-6 weeks after surgery. This ensures that the breast tissue is supported while you are healing. Additionally, Dr. Jacobson will provide specific instructions on activity restrictions after surgery, which ensure that the tissues heal appropriately to give you the best results.

In general, you may feel sore the first week or so, and you will need to limit strenuous exercise for about 2-4 weeks. Breast augmentation patients can expect 4 weeks of lifting restrictions.
